Baby Kim® Lilac (Syringa x ) is a third of the size of the common lilac, but still has glossy green leaves. In mid to late spring, lovely, fragrant, lavender blooms cover the plant. These flowers do not fade to white but retain their lavender color throughout their lives.
This plant is rarely bothered by deer or disease. It attracts butterflies and other pollinators. It can be used as a border, a cut flower, in a container, as a specimen plant, in mass plantings, and in the landscape. It will form a nice hedge so can be planted along the foundation. Baby Kim® Lilac is very cold hardy. In fact, it needs a period of cold to stimulate it to bloom.
