Clematis ‘Avant Garde’ is a new late-season blooming Evison clematis with stunning crinkled magenta-red petals and a double centre in pink with yellow stamens. Raymond Evison is the world’s most famous Clematis breeder producing superior and distinctive cultivars with long bloom periods, excellent disease resistance, and bold colours. Use them on trellises and pergolas, grow them into shrubs, or use them as ground covers.

Although it thrives in full sun, it blooms beautifully in shady conditions. It is a staff favorite and comes highly recommended.

A member of pruning group 3. ‘Avant-Garde’ Clematis blooms on new wood, prune hard in spring to a pair of buds about 18″ above ground.
